  3. Yep! is time for a new report... i'm sorry for the silence in this period,
  4. but as you know i've a lot of work and no time ;)
  5.  
  6. There are several good news this time... let's go:
  7.  
  8. I'm proud to announce *The Amos Factory*!!! What is it? The Amos Factory is
  9. the new official AMOS homepage. Here you'll find all the upgrades, latest
  10. news,
  11. developers materials and other stuffs. For celebrate the event, *3 upgrades*
  12. are available!

  15. - *The long awaited Gui Extension v1.70!*  This is a beta archive. The doc
  16. isn't 100% complete, but anyway it explain the new commands. There are some
  17. examples in the archive... but don't worry the complete archive with the
  18. full docs and tons of examples will ready as soon as possible. Well... as
  19. you have heard several times, the GUI 1.70 allows you to use the new AGA
  20. and graphic cards screen mode, public screen, on-line help mui-like, and
  21. other useful stuffs (80+ new commands). Try it.... if you've used the
  22. TCP/IP commands of the previous versions, you must save your programs in
  23. ASCII, because i've totally rewritten them.

  26. - *FD Extension v2.0* I've fixed and solved all the problems of the
  27. previous version... now the builder is more complete and easy to use. It
  28. allows you to create different extensions, and select the destination slot.

  31. - and the big one! the *Amos.library upgrade!* I've reworked a bit the
  32. code, and fixed a nasty bug... now the evil interlaced screens problem with
  33. the AmigaOS v3.1 is fixed, and Amos opens interlaced screens correctly ;))

  46. And now a quick message to all the gfx artists.... we *need* a new AMOS
  47. logo!! It must be cool, and not a simple 'AMOS' like the original. Send me
  48. your art works on or before April 15th. Come on!

  51. And now i want stress a important point about the Amos development....
  52.  
  53. The programming isn't my real job... i'm a dairyman, and i've my firm
  54. to handle, and usually this take all my time. I can program part-time,
  55. usually in the weekends only, and so the work doesn't procede very fast :(
  56. I've received the sources 1 month ago, but i've seriously worked on them
  57. only a week. Anyway in this brief period, i've upgraded the GUI Extension,
  58. created the FD extension and fixed some Amos bugs. I'm doing my best, but
  59. Amos v3 will not be ready soon...
